How does acupuncture work?
If the body is like a computer that has a lot of sub-programs running at once, acupuncture is like an operating system that helps organize the sub-programs so they communicate better and run more efficiently. By using specific acupuncture points to encourage the body to perform more smoothly, you can optimize your physiology to reduce pain, heal faster, clear the mind, and get back to feeling good.
Will acupuncture work for me?
Acupuncture works on all ages, from infants to the elderly, and it's good for all levels of health. Generally issues that are acute or recent resolve more quickly than those that have become chronic. But a regular series of treatments can do amazing things--most patients report that secondary issues clear up right along with the primary issues. And they have more energy and are in a better mood. The most common side effect is falling asleep during treatment, so it's much safer than conventional medicine.
